Meet the Team
As skilled youth engagement specialists, we utilize best practices developed through years of working with vulnerable young people to bring engaging, supportive, and expressive storytelling workshops to youth. Our approach focuses on each participant as a unique individual with an emphasis on the process rather than the product. The result is engaging, hands on activities that allow youth to have full autonomy over their storytelling process despite language barriers and differing learning levels.
Hannah brings dynamic and unique insight to her work with Youth UnMuted, with experience engaging with vulnerable and at-risk youth both internationally in Greece and in the U.S. child welfare system,
Throughout her career, Hannah has seen firsthand how people are not always responsible for the circumstances in which they find themselves. She is committed to providing systemically neglected and marginalized youth a space for creative expression and a platform to make their voices heard.
Hannah has bachelors degrees in Psychology and Anthropology from Fordham University and is currently a Masters of Social Worker candidate at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
From the beginning of her career, Daphne has engaged creatively with adults and young people, developing and implementing creative programming within the US criminal justice system, internationally within the United Nations, and back home in Canada as a mental health service provider.
Daphne’s commitment results from her unwavering belief that, given the opportunity and support, vulnerable young people can move forward with confidence and the tools they need to achieve their full potential.
Daphne holds a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from San Francisco State University and a Masters in Human Security and Peacebuilding from Royal Roads University.
